The Kingspan Stadium is a rugby stadium located in Belfast, Northern Ireland. It is the home of Ulster Rugby.
Kingspan Stadium has 8 free dedicated parking spaces for people with disabilities. To enter the stadium, everything is on the level with no steps to access the building. There is an elevator inside, which takes people with disabilities to the disabled viewing area inside.
All the doors are wide enough for any size of wheelchair to enter and we can avoid any turnstiles within Kingspan. There are three locations for wheelchairs to view the games from, with a total of 120 spaces for anyone with disabilities and their partners. There are 20 disabled toilets throughout the stadium and are Changing Places facilities.
I found the whole experience to be wonderful. Kingspan Stadium were well equipped to meet my needs as a person with a disability. The staff were friendly and helpful. However we were to enter the Grandstand at Door 1, as per the ticket said, but were redirected to Door 2. This maybe have just been an oversight and did not create any issues.
When looking for tickets for the disabled section, the best point of contact is Jennifer McFedries at the Ulster Rugby Ticket Office on 028 9049 3222 (option 2) or by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org. You may be required to provide a letter from your Doctor if it’s your first time to Kingspan Stadium as proof you have a disability before a ticket is issued.
