Maldron Hotel Newlands Cross (formerly Bewleys Hotel Newlands Cross) is located on the N7 Naas Road and beside the M50 junction 9. Situated on the main route in and out of Dublin for those travelling to and from the south and west of Ireland making it an ideal base for business and leisure guests alike.
There are 10 rooms within the hotels that are disabled friendly, with ample room to move around in.
The rooms have a large bathroom, which is big enough to move a wheelchair around freely. The shower is part of a wet room, with strong seating attached to the wall to transfer anyone onto who has a disability.
The reception desk has no lower section for anyone in a chair or who is short on stature. It can leave it quite restrictive in booking in.
In the bedroom, there were no plug sockets beside the beds, which means some medical equipment cannot be used near the beds. However, upon mentioning this to the hotel staff, they provided extension leads.
The restaurant in the hotel is large and big enough space to move a wheelchair on any other type of mobility aid around it. Not all parts of the restaurant are accessible by chair, as some of the seating is in raised areas.
There are an ample number of disabled parking bays adjacent to the hotels, so there should be no difficulties in parking.
