Due to the age of the building, facilities that cater to people with disabilities are slim with seats removed at the back of the theatre to act as wheelchair bays. There is no access to the reception desk as there are steps up to it. However, there are a number of ushers standing in the reception area alert and ready to offer help.
On arrival, I was informed by one usher that the designated disabled area would not be suitable for me as it was more suitable for a taller person. He immediately offered to help find me a more suitable spot and took me into the theatre through the disabled access.
The only suitable spot was in the side aisle, which was not ideal due movement during the interval but I did have a great view of the stage during the performance. Although I never used the disabled toilets the usher did inform me where they were. Overall, staff were extremely helpful to do everything they can to ensure you have a pleasant and comfortable experience.
