Why This Event Matters
On 3rd July, I’ll be speaking at a deeply meaningful event at Stormont — “Life Worth Living – A Celebration”.
It’s more than a gathering. It’s a stand against narratives that devalue our lives. It’s a celebration of disabled people’s contributions, resilience, and right to thrive.
With assisted dying legislation looming, this is our moment to say our lives are not burdens. We are not optional. We are worthy of protection, investment, and joy.
Who Will Be There?
This event is sponsored by Danny Donnelly MLA and features a powerful line-up of voices, including:
- Mike Nesbitt, Minister of Health for Northern Ireland
- Disabled people who have directly benefited from the Independent Living Fund
- Representatives from disabled people’s organisations
- Campaigners, advocates, and performers sharing lived experiences, poetry, and music
And yes, I’ll be there too — proud to speak up for disabled lives that are very much worth living.

Whether you’re disabled, a carer, an ally, or simply someone who believes in the value of every life — this is your invitation.
Join us for an evening of voices, truth, solidarity, and celebration. Together, we will remind Stormont — and the world — that disabled lives are worth living.
We are not done living.
We are not done fighting.
We are not going quietly.
