There is on-site parking available at the hotel, with special rate for hotel guests. There are a number of disabled parking bays available.
The entrance into the hotel is a large door, which has a button to press for anyone who is uses a wheelchair or has mobility issues. There is also a large revolving door, which rotates slowly and can cater most sizes of wheelchairs.
The hotel is a wide-open space, with plenty of room so that it doesn’t become congested with people. The reception desk is high, but there is a lowered section for people who use wheelchairs or have restricted height.
The disabled room has an easy locking mechanism, which operates with a magnetic card. The bathroom is large, with a good-sized shower and strong shower seat for anyone with a disability who needs to sit whilst having a shower.
Whilst the room itself has enough room for a decent size wheelchair, I still found it difficult enough to get around and would worry about someone with a larger chair than myself. I was pleased to discover where was a power socket next to the bed, as it meant I could plug my medical equipment in at night, which I need beside the bed.
The restaurant too was excellent. Staff extremely helpful helping me get a table in the morning and making sure I had everything on hand.
