Nestled on the shoreline of Lake Eske, this upscale hotel and restaurant is 8.1 km from Donegal town centre and 16.4 km from Murvagh beach.
Excellent service, beautiful location. We had lovely weather on arrival, a rainy day was no probs, with such luxurious rooms, too! Food was typical country fare -large portions- and it is very pretty.
I must also remark on the thoughtful attention to space and disabled access. No stairs, ramps all round, large spacious rooms, with large, accessible bathrooms. (Though not all).
It doesn’t quite get an A*, as there is no expressed policy or info on the website, no evidence they have sign language available, there are the usual detail problems (ie; space in pub and restaurant for wheelchair users is awkward).
The grounds are large, LARGE and might not work well for most people with limited mobility, the marked parking spaces are not wide enough for wheelchair users (though they have a drop off drive at the front door).
It’s still nice to see a place with wheelchair users and people with limited mobility feeling relaxed and not frustrated!
